I was highly recommended to go to Estero Smiles Dentistry by my friend Carly Hille so I called on a Tuesday and got in the next morning! I met Tierra, the Assistant Office Manager who was so helpful and attentive and gave me a tablet as I missed the big stuff they needed the night before at home, silly me. After that I was greeted by Erika and unbeknownst to us I would be spending most of my day there and mostly with Erika, the poor thang! We kept each other laughing which helped the day go by pretty fast…at least to me, maybe Erika didn’t see it that way. Oh well… Now my teeth had major problems so I didn’t know what they’d discover and I would soon find out. I’m glad I did as my mouth needed a lot of TLC. While Erika was doing her thang in my mouth, I told her I was cold and she said she’d be right back! Left me! WOW! Simply walked out on me! WOW! But she came back with a big blue comfy blanket for little old me! WOW! Thanks Erika! Dr. Shima came in next and spoke with me. She was nice too! She didn’t rush anything and gave me all my options and wanted to know what I want to do. She didn’t rush me or push me into anything I didn’t want to do. She examined the X-rays done by Erika, WOW, there she is again. She walked me through everything and then sent in Henry, the Operation Manager. Henry was very nice too. I’m serious here; they all are genuinely nice! Henry went over all my financials with me to be sure I understood all I needed and wanted. We squared away the financials which honestly was GREAT because I was in the chair with my legs stretched out and my purse was hanging over on the wall out of my reach. When I needed to pay, Henry went over and got my purse for me. I didn’t have to go get it. It was so awesome lounging there, digitally signing things. (Because there’s nothing I hate more than at the very end when you just want to go home and you have to stand forever and then while standing dig through your purse! (I am fumble fingers when it comes to things like that!) Great concept Estero Smiles!) So you thought I was done? Nope as I told you, I spent the day there! Take care of your teeth so you don’t go through a whole day like me but I honestly enjoyed it! So I see another person lurking in the hallway trying to squeeze in my room! It’s Maria! She’s a Periodontal Maintenance person. They finally let her through and yes she’s nice too! Boy oh boy did she clean my teeth well! They feel great even now, Maria; if you see this! Then Erika came bouncing back and she got the floss out and went to town. Then she dried my teeth and then had this gadget that made an impression of my mouth. It was quite the gadget but way better than the goop they fill your mouth with then say hold them closed and then when they say open! You just look at them like they lost their mind as your mouth is basically glued together! Thank you Erika for not using that! So poor Doc and Erika were in and out with me all day, even during the lunch hour. Wow! (I guess I watch too much Damon Darling on YouTube) and things like that! I needed a crown replaced and they made it right there! I’m sure I left some out. But hey, do yourself a favor and pick up the phone and give them a call and tell them Debbie sent you! I promise you, you will be happy you did and at the end you will say WOW! I had a great appt yesterday 4/2/24 with Dr. Shima and her team. She was attentive and wanted to focus on my area(s) of concern. Dental assistant Kevin did a great job with my x-rays. He showed a great sense of patience and wanting accuracy. Dental hygienist Barbara was wonderful. She has great knowledge and isn’t afraid to answer your questions. She was also gentle yet effective in my teeth cleaning. Dental assistant Yanna took pictures for my retainers, she was nice and also showed a sense of wanting accuracy. Lastly, Henry made sure to explain my bill in detail, going over what insurance would coverage and my out of pocket expense. Very important. Thank you to the team again for making me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Update: I had a great service today 4/17/25. I was greeted by Tiarra and soon after called back by dental hygienist Barbara. I received x-rays and a dental evaluation that confirmed which personalized cleaning I needed. Ray came to discuss and answer any questions on my bill before services started. I moved forward and received gingival scale cleaning which also included laser. I did not know until asking Dr. Shima but the laser creates microscopic cuts and applies heat to allow the gum to heal itself. I thought this was a very innovative treatment for patients. I always appreciate the team effort and innovative procedures this office has. A major reason why I continue to support this office, knowing the services and professional staff have my best interest.

It was my first time at this dentist office and it was one of the best experiences I ever had. Every single person was so nice and thorough. They took their time with me and explained everything I needed in depth. I booked out my appointments as well based on what they recommended. So happy I found them!
